We are putting in miles for our Jungle Expedition - come join us

The premise is simple: We will leave Coffee Bean and tea @ 5 minutes after start time and head for the sand. From there we will walk west to the Santa Monica Pier and back.

Distance: a simple out and back walk in the sand 1.5 - 2.0 miles. If you want to go further, keep walking past the pier to Malibu. Alternatively, if you need to shorten the distance - turn around and head back earlier.

Options: This event is intended to be low key for us getting back into the swing of things. However, if you are looking for more of a work-out, the sand is a perfect environment for: lunges, sidestepping, "wheelbarrows" (one person walks holding your feet while you "walk" utilizing your hands) and other low impact but high energy activities.

Please feel free to bring your coffee for the walk. The idea is to be able to talk but walk briskly. If we start to get out of breath, we slow down until we can talk.

Time Required:
Expect 45 - 75 minutes.

Logistics: there is plenty of FREE parking on Main. Just make sure you move your vehicle before 9AM.

    •  first time i actually walked along the beach in SM. it was great to see the crashing of the waves, and the SM pier when it was still dark out. On the way back, the sun was rising, and it was time to start the day. Refreshing & a good cardio workout (at least for me!).
    • Co - Organizer
Just Siobhan and me this morning on Burma Roads. They had the ferris wheel spinning this morning and the lights going too. The best views were of the pink clouds just before the sun came up. Hope to see more of you out next time and on Friday.
