related - so keep that in mind when you think of possible solutions. Bring
your walking shoes. Your progress will be displayed graphically on www.sc
oaoutdoors.net so your friends and family all over the world can watch and
'participate' virtually!\n\nWe are going to keep the event dirt cheap $10/t
 eam which is $5/person until 19 April. After that\, it is $10/person $20 t
eam. If you are interested - sign up. Those of you signing up before 19 A
pril will get a SCOA tee. In your RSVP include your teammate's name. If yo
u don't have one no worries we can help you as we get closer to race day!
I am working with Christine\, Stephen and Erica on a few of the details but
the event will be fun! If you have never done an urban adventure race you
are in for a treat. \n\nThe Plan: \nMeet at the northwest corner of Berna
rd Way and Sea Colony Drive in Santa Monica (Google Map) You will see a g
rassy park. Find me. I look exactly like I do in my profile picture. Ple
ase feel free to text me 310.344.8909. As you can imagine phone calls on ev
ent day are impossible to manage. Don't be late!\n\nAt 10:25\, we will "pu
sh" the clues to you via text and the event will start! Some clues will be
intuitive some not\, some will be easy\, some will not be so easy. Finall
y some clues will be close others not so close - review the clues carefully
. As you answer your clues\, email them to us at SCOA (email address TBD).
\n\nRegardless of where you are in the clue process\, meet us back at James
  Beach at 5:30PM (60 North Venice Boulevard Venice\, CA 90291-4166 (310) 39
9-8420) where we will announce the winners.\n\nDistance: \nBring your comf
ortable walking shoes because you will be walking - a lot. Actual distance
traveled could be up to 7/8 miles. It is okay to take the Big Blue bus bu
t no bikes\, skates or other wheeled transportation will be allowed.\n\nDif
ficulty:\nEasy - as long as you can walk and think you will have a great ti
me.\n\nParking:\nParking on the west side is always a challenge. We recomm
end parking at the beach. I think it is $10 for the day. You can also park
in the residential areas above the beach for free. 4th and Ashland is a g
reat place to start. Read and be mindful of the parking signs.\n\nBTW - if
you have a favorite adventure related vendor\, or favorite bar or favorite
store in the Santa Monica and Venice area and you think they would want to
participate as a place to retrieve clues\, drop me a line - feedback@scoao
