Every year Long Beach puts together a series of summer events called the Stroll and Savor. This year is no different with over 30 restaurants in Belmont Shore participating.

What is a Stroll and Savor? First, the Stroll: walking only a few blocks away from the ocean on Second Street you'll pass shops, bars and of course, restaurants. Here is where the Savor part comes in: after buying a coupon book for $10 (12 coupons), you'll be able to redeem your coupons for food and drinks from various vendors.

My favorites: BBQ from Lucille's, Greek food from Georges, Lebanese food from Open Sesame and Thai food from Phuket Thai! There is also pizza, pasta, hot wings, sliders, tacos, chocolate dipped strawberries, frosted cupcakes and much more!

We are meeting at the corner of Ocean and Corona. On the south side (ocean side) there is a Chase bank - in front of this bank, there will be tables set up to sell the coupon books. Cash only and no bills over $20. I'll be here until 7:15 and then I'll make Lucille's my first stop. This series happens every Wed/Thurs (5:30-9:00) on the 3rd full week of June, July and August if anyone is interested but can't make the meet up date and time.
