Imagine following your guide down a Class II/IV rapids on a river board, then kayaking at midnight where it is so quiet you can hear your heart beat. What about mountain biking in the Central Oregon Mountain with only you, your guide and a few close friends? Have you ever seen a wild horse or had a chance to feed one? Have you ever had dinner with 5 generations of Native American telling you their history from a multi-generational perspective; all the while surrounded by freshly caught salmon baked the traditional Native American way. Finally do you want to sleep in a tepee?
My good friend Randy owns an adventure travel service in Oregon. Every summer he invites me up to spend time with he and his family on the Warm Springs Reservation. It is both a treat and honor to be invited. This year I asked him if I could bring some friends - he said yes - that's where you come in!
The Plan: Fly from Los Angeles to Maupin Oregon Wednesday morning. We will make a pickup in San Francisco too. We will: fly fish, kayak (midnight and during the day), sleep in a tepee, river board, feed wild horses, mountain bike, eat Native American food with 5 generations of Native America. There is an option to climb at Smith Rock too!
What you need: warm clothes (you will be outside most of the time), bathing suit, mountain biking gear (if you don't have it we can rent it), rock climbing gear (renting is an option). Most importantly you will need to bring your sense of adventure. The experience will be like none other where few non-Native Americans have tread.

Cost: $2500 per person. $500 deposit holds your spot. $1500 balance is required by March 30th 2009 with the entire balance due 1 May 2009.
What's included: transportation (originating from LA and SF metro areas), lodging, food while on the reservation, equipment rentals. You will want to bring money for food while in transit and for the Smith Rock option and for souvenirs.
Activities:: Fishing, kayking (day & night), feeding horses, mountain biking, river boarding, rock climbing and traditional salmon bake.
This is an epic one-of-a-kind adventure of epic proportions. If you are interested - sign up.
